1Badly madeJan 13, 2010
By Christie E. Dooley "Christie"
I really enjoy assembling things, but this kit house was so badly made it took away alot of the enjoyment. It took alot of time, tools and wood pautty to make it look at all decent. I was very disappointed in the quality.

The lack of clear instructions is normal, but I found several places where the numbering of the pieces was wrong or missing so it took some thought and work to figure out how sections went together.

I have done several dollhouse kits in the past without this much hassle.

2DO NOT BUY!!!!! SERIOUSLEYAug 05, 2009

do not buy this
firstly it doesn't even have instructions.
just numbers that help you match things.
like when two pieces go together it says 1 and 1.
or 95 and 95.
its not so bad but two pieces both had the same number and one was a decoration for the house and the other was a wall. it would be IMPOSSIBLE to fit the two together.
it does this 7 times. i am twelve years old and it was sort of fun at first but then got hard. plus the things are totally mixed up. the pieces of the lamp in the front were split up on 5 different wood sheets.so if your trying to find somthing you have to look at the whole thing. evry single sheet, and let me tell you that is not fun.
and the "instructions" are on the back of the of the box.
and half the pieces didnt fit and stay together
DO NOT BUY THIS

2OK, but a little dumbDec 28, 2010

I've done a couple other wood puzzles before with no problems, so I was expecting this one to be the same but it wasnt.
Usually I only use glue on a few of the parts since it usually is solid without it, but this one took much more glue than ones I've done in the past. Some pieces especially some of the roof structures were very rickety without it.
One other qualm I had was the stairs in this house compared to another dollhouse of the same company I had done before. The actual steps barely rest in between the rails, and when i tried gluing them together it was quite hard to even hold them in place without half of the steps fall out..
Finally, expecting the house to have more space than the one I had done in the past(linked below) I was dissapointed to find out that I could barely fit my hand (and I have small hands) into the attic with all the decorative whatever sticking out. And the stairs take up space to leave you with only 3 small rooms compared to the ample 5 rooms of the other dollhouse. Also much of the furniture is too big to fit into the tiny rooms :(

Overall as a decorative piece to put on a shelf and admire, it is passable. But if your expecting to actually use the furniture inside the house and be able to play with it, it fails. I would suggest this other dollhouse by creatologyCreatology Wooden Puzzle: Dollhouse 3-D Wood Puzzle with the furniture as it is able to fit a majority of the furniture inside all at once.

5fun puzzleJan 29, 2011

I liked this project/puzzle. I did learn not to paint it while still in the sheet of wood, too hard to get out without breaking the pieces, but was still fun to put together and friends like the way it looks.

This was a fun project for me and my daughter. Can't wait to do more. We worked to get this together and now the painting begins.
